Invitation NTR Seminar
Dear members,

On Wednesday 29 June 2022 NOFOTA organises a seminar on Trading Rules.

Lectures are given by experts in the trade and legal professionals and supported by case studies.
People who attend this seminar will learn about the do’s and don’ts of contracting by Arnold Hoek (Amica). Annemarie Keemink (ADM) will teach about the execution of a contract and the differences between a paper trade and a physical delivery. And finally, Dorine ten Brink (Ploum Lawyers) will take us through the NOFOTA Arbitration Rules and Dutch Arbitration Law. Jan van Zuuren (Lawyer and arbitration expert) will moderate the day.  The lectures will be alternated with small group case studies.

This seminar should be of interest to people directly or indirectly involved in the oils & fats industry in commercial, supply chain and execution/logistics roles.

The seminar is being held at VNAB knowledge and meeting centre,  Boompjes 251, 3011 XZ Rotterdam.

Registration fee for this seminar, including lunch, drinks and reception, is € 150.- per person for members of NOFOTA and € 250.- per person for non-members (VAT is excluded). A NOFOTA Trading Rules Book  and The Centennial Book 'The eye of the storm' is included in the seminar fee.

09.45 hrs.        Presentation by Arnold Hoek of AMICA (Do’s and don’ts of contracting)
10.30 hrs.        First case study in small groups
11.15 hrs.        Presentation by Annemarie Keemink of ADM (The execution of a contract and the differences between paper trade and a physical delivery)
12.00 hrs.        Second case study in small groups
12.45 hrs.        LUNCH
13.45 hrs.        Presentation by Dorine ten Brink of PLOUM Advocaten (Arbitration Law and the NOFOTA Arbitration Rules and procedures)
14.30 hrs.        Third case study in small groups
15.15 hrs.        Evaluation of the case studies and panel discussion by the speakers
15.45 hrs.        Closing by the Chairman
